Rip Esselstyn invites you to join Engine 2 and Whole Foods Market team members in Sedona, Arizona in 2014 for a weeklong immersion intensive retreat, scheduled for Oct 12-18 at the Sedona Mago Retreat Center. Featuring the all-star cast from our sold-out Engine 2 Retreat Weekends, this 7-day/6-night life-changing week will give you an in-depth medical & nutritional education about why & how to adopt a plant-strong lifestyle.
In addition, the curriculum delves deeply into the psychological and practical methods & practices for successfully implementing sustainable lifestyle changes, with multiple lectures and breakout sessions led by esteemed doctor Caldwell B. Esselstyn, famed nutritionist Michael Greger, and renowned psychologist Doug Lisle. If you have been looking for an experience to renew your health and learn how to be healthy, this week might be the perfect fit for you and your family.
Each day begins with a selection of morning workouts, ranging from moderate group exercise (led by plant-strong personal trainer Nathan Turner) to yoga or hiking for all levels. After a beautiful plant-strong hot breakfast buffet, each morning will feature three hours of thought-provoking and entertaining lectures from our esteemed speakers.
Following a delicious, filling plant-strong lunch, the afternoon features two additional lectures, followed by 2-3 hours of free time and adventures. Free time will offer participants a chance to explore the bounty of extraordinary outdoor activities in the Sedona high desert, and spans a wonderful array of options including horse-back riding, swimming, afternoon yoga, shopping in Sedona, and even hiking the West Fork trail of Oak Creek Canyon (one of the top 10 hikes in the United States!).
Each evening will feature a hands-on cooking demonstration (where you learn how to make these meals back home), followed by a gourmet dinner, as well as a nighttime activity (including a special screening of Forks Over Knives, a performance by renowned Sedona performing artist Porangui, a star-lit bonfire, a hilarious talent-show, and a guided star-gazing tour).
All participants will be offered two comprehensive biometric screenings (at the beginning and conclusion of the retreat week), and will have 24-hour access to our Engine 2 Immersion Medical Director, Dr. Stuart Seale.
Comfortable accommodations are available on a double-occupancy basis, and the $3,650 registration fee covers 18 meals (from dinner on the 17th to lunch on the 23rd), lodging, and all education materials. Ground transportation and air travel to Sedona are not included.
