It sounds boring, but it would be quite useful: an international database of organizations and individuals working toward the liberation of animals. But more than that: it will also be cross-referenced, membership-driven, and interactive with its visitor.

The Animals Voice receives email from people all over the world asking for assistance for a project or an atrocity they’ve witnessed and want to end. We do our best to put them in touch with organizations working in their part of the world or on their specific interest, but sometimes we simply don’t have the means to do so.
Therefore, one of the features of a new-and-improved Animals Voice web site will be the creation of an international directory — of activists, businesses, organizations, and campaign material that will be accessible to anyone anywhere with a computer.
The Animals Directory will be an entire web site unto itself. It will host the thousands of groups around the world devoted to animal welfare and animal rights, and it will be searchable by region, by topic, by campaign, and by its needs and goals. Such a directory is online in a limited format: WorldAnimal.net, but The Animals Voice wants to take such a service further yet. By embedding itself in The Animals Voice online framework, the directory becomes part of the overall experience of every visitor to AnimalsVoice.com. Site searches, as well as campaign presentation, will feature links to directory entries critical to their criteria.
The Animals Directory will be a key ingredient in the activists’ toolshed by serving as an automatic means to an end.

It’s a sad state of affairs when activists in countries such as Bolivia and Pakistan call on the U.S. for animal aid. Activists for animals exist in every country and in every region of every country, throughout the world; they just can’t always be found.
The Animals Directory is determined to change that. By becoming an interactive database of groups and individuals working to save animals, the directory serves as a networking tool for lone activists seeking help, to large organizations seeking manpower. The database will be searchable by country, by region, by topic, by campaign, by an organization’s needs or an activist’s dreams, and it will be integrated with social media such as Facebook, Twitter, and other networking portals.
As well, it will be available on mobile devices such as iPad and wide- spread cell phone services, etc. It won’t matter WHERE you are in the world; it’ll merely matter whether you can get to a computer or other device that accesses the Internet. Imagine the power of such a database during natural disasters and political campaigns that benefit animals, such as national or state legislative ballots. The Animals Directory will also be self-sustaining — by its users, of course, but also by its advertisers and donors, its users and its ‘re-directors,’ if you will.
