The National Animal Law Competitions (NALC), presented by the Center for Animal Law Studies and the Animal Legal Defense Fund, draws competitors from top American law schools to participate in three separate competitions:
Appellate Moot Court
Legislative Drafting & Lobbying
The event will provide law students the opportunity to demonstrate oral advocacy skills before federal judges, leading scholars, lobbyists, government officials, ALDF attorneys, and other practitioners specializing in animal law.
Lewis & Clark Law School is the only law school located in Portland, Oregon, the largest city in the state. We enroll 190-215 first-year students in our full- and part-time divisions combined. Successful completion of either program results in a Juris Doctor degree.
