Under Construction
When a visitor chooses this section, they will find the history of the animal rights movement documented here, as well as a wealth of critical information necessary to turn them from visitor to activist, including dietary tools on how to be vegan.
From the Great Minds to the most compelling photography…
It has been said that, to believe in the defense of animals, one is in good company. A featured section of this LEARN section will be devoted to an extensive anthology of profound humane thought. This collection of writing will be presented from the pens and the minds of such great thinkers as Leonardo Da Vinci, Albert Einstein, Mahatma Gandhi, and others of their caliber, but not limited to them. Great modern-day minds will be included, as well, from living presidents to well-known scientists.
Currently, The Animals Voice Picture Gallery contains more than 5,000 images of animal exploitation. Activists around the world use the pictures in their own web pages, their newsletters, multimedia, fliers, etc. But there are hundreds more pictures to be added, including new categories, as well as high-resolution images for those using print and publication to promote animal rights. It would also be advantageous to promote non-exploitation pictures, such as those from ethical wildlife photographers. The beauty of animals is as effective in making changes for animals as those of animals under brutal conditions. Life has its own compelling story to tell.
Features are and will be:
Factsheets
The FACTSHEETS database will be extensive, searchable by keyword as well as browsable by topic, from puppy mills to whale slaughter to international legislation. Like everything else in the web site, they’ll be cross-linked and easily updatable — for students and teachers alike.
Editorial
Essays, poetry, investigative reports, articles, and other prose are also quickly accessed and easily searchable. This section will feature an anthology of humane thought, from the Great Minds quotes to the new thinkers.
Picture Gallery
Already 5,000 images strong, The Animals Voice Picture Gallery is easily accessed by topic and keyword. Hundreds more pictures are yet to be added; high-resolution images will be most useful for those with print interests. This public Gallery is used in others’ web pages, newsletters, fliers, etc.
Video Gallery
Installed, but not yet complete, the Video Gallery promises to collect and present all animal rights- and vegan-related video in a one-stop showcase searchable by topic or keyword or by graphic detail.
Book Library
Sure, one can browse Amazon for books about animal rights or veganism, but we take the lengthy search out of the equation. In The Animals Voice Book Library, we will present the works of authors and others who are genuinely in it for the animals. No more deceiving titles or misleads. If it’s in our library, it will be worth reading.
News & Notes
Last, but in no way least, is the News & Notes (or Noteworthy) section of the site. With its own RSS Feed, The Animals Voice will keep activists and others automatically apprised of the news related to — and affecting — animals and nature. News subscribers will receive action alerts and other timely updates.
