Chipmunks scurry and squirrels search
While birds dive and flutter
Autumn calls to me
To hurry and enjoy
The scampering of animals
To feed them and watch them
For soon they will be gone
Sunbeams so warm and breezes so cool
While leaves let go their tether
Autumn calls to me
To hurry and enjoy
Everything in golden hues
To walk mindlessly in her unique palette
For soon it will be gone
Autumn calls to me
To take no day for granted
